Understanding skin aesthetics dermatology

Skin Aesthetics dermatology focuses on improving the appearance of your skin while protecting its health. As a dermatology professional, I combine clinical knowledge with advanced cosmetic treatments to safely and effectively address concerns like ageing, pigmentation, and scarring. These treatments go beyond beauty as they’re based on a deep understanding of how the skin works. That’s why it’s important to choose someone with specialist training, at Eco-Glow aesthetics we provide personalised treatments that cater to your individual skin health needs.

skin Care

In addition to in-clinic treaments, maintaining healthy and raidiant skin requires a consistent skincare routine customised to your skin type and concerns. Consistent care helps to support the skin’s natural barrier, prevent common concerns, and enhance the effects of in-clinic treatments. Whether you're targeting dryness, acne, ageing, or pigmentation, a tailored skincare routine works in harmony with professional treatments to keep your skin healthy, balanced, and glowing. We take the time to understand your skin so you leave not just with a treatment, but with lasting radiance.

  • Make sure you schedule your Botox appointment at least 2 weeks prior to any special occasions such as a vacation or a wedding.
  • Results from Botox injections and dermal fillers take around 4-7 days to appear.
  • You should also avoid blood thinning medications and anti-inflammatory medicines for the 2 weeks leading up to your treatment. Also avoid aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, St. John's Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, and NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen.

All of these can thin your blood which increases the likelihood of you experiencing swelling or bruising after botox injections.

  •  Discuss with your doctor any concerns you may have. It may not be prudent for you to stop taking certain prescription medication.

  • On the morning of your procedure, ensure you eat a healthy, nourishing breakfast. If your appointment is later in the day, make sure you eat close to your appointment. This will prevent you from becoming faint or lightheaded during your treatment.
